Who is God?

An Inductive Study of the Identity of God

Are you confused about many religions in the world? Which God among all the religions the world is really the true God? If any religions claim that their deity is the one true God, then by definition, all others must be false Gods. The famous mathematician Blaise Pascal made the notable statement, “There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God the Creator.” How then can we discover who this true God in and how can we have a relationship with Him? In this insightful and enlightening book, Dr. Alva Goossen brings his theological expertise to bear on this topic, examining whether there is evidence for one true God, and whether there is definite word on which we can rely to answer that question. Drawing on academic studies, as well as practical experience in service, Dr. Goossen makes eloquent case for every person’s ability to know with confidence, the identity of the true God.

God At Work

What kind of person can God use to get His work done? After reading the first book, “Who is God”, we might come to the erroneous conclusion that only extraordinary people can do the work of the LORD. That is how the world evaluates its hero's. Having witnessed the fearless challenge of Elijah as he confronted the king, and then the 450 prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel when God answered his prayer by fire from heaven, we would be wrong to think that God can’t use an ordinary citizen who is not spectacular. Even the apparent mighty prophet crumbled into discouragement and was no longer useful in God’s plan. So when God wanted to continue His work in ancient Israel, He chose a farmer, Elisha. A farmer who hadn’t even been to a school of the prophets would now become God’s spokesman. Does God want to use you to carry on His work? Read this book with an expectant attitude toward the LORD.
